Trade: The Oilers Trade David Perron To The Penguins

The Edmonton Oilers have traded forward David Perron to the Pittsburgh Penguins for 2015 1st round draft pick and Rob Klinkhammer.

Perron was drafted 26th overall in the first round of the 2007 draft by the Blues.

Shawn Simpson: “Penguins give to get. Dupuis out. Rutherford wants to win now. Perron will thrive with Syd/Gino! Smart trade for both. Perron concussions?”

Seth Rorabaugh: “Perron has two years remaining on a contract (including 2014-15) with a cap hit of $3,812,500 per @capgeek.”

Ray Ferraro: “Like #Pens #Oilers deal … Perron wanted out, will help Pens surrounded by more skill // oilers get 1st Rd pick in very deep draft”

Darren Dreger: “Good trade by Pens. Perron will easily fit on 1st or 2nd line in Pitt. They needed help with injuries, mumps, etc.”
