Trade: Penguins Acquire Klinkhammer From Coyotes

The Pittsburgh Penguins have acquired forward Rob Klinkhammer and a conditional 2016 5th round draft pick from the Arizona Coyotes for defenseman Philip Samuelsson.

Penguins: The 28-year old Klinkhammer carries a $625,000 salary cap hit and is on the last year of a two-year deal. The 6′ 3″ forward has three goals in 19 games this season. He had career highs last year with 11 goals, nine assists and 20 points in 72 games. He was second on the Coyotes with 168 hits.

Coyotes: Samuelsson has four assists and 20 penalty minutes in 22 games with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the AHL. The 23-year old has appeared in five NHL games after being drafted by the Penguins in the 2nd round, 61st overall in the 2009 draft.
