Lightning trade for Roloson

Erik Erlendsson of the Tampa Tribune: The Tampa Bay Lightning have acquired Dwayne Roloson from the New York Islanders for minor league defenseman Ty Wishart. Roloson will arrive in Tampa this evening, and will be at practice tomorrow.

“This is something that we have been debating for some time now, and recent the opportunity came up, an opportunity to improve our team, so let’s act upon it now,’’ Lightning general manager Steve Yzerman said.

The 41 year old Roloson is in the final year of his deal which pays him $3 million. He has a 6-13-1 record with a 2.64 GAA and .916 SV%. The Lightning will carry 3 goalies for the time being.
