Saturday morning free agent notes

Chris Stevenson of the Ottawa Sun: Stevenson thinks with the Devils payroll situation, Zach Parise could get an offer sheet.

Chris Vivlamore of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution: Andrew Ladd and the Atlanta Thrashers continue to talk contract. Both sides are “on the same page”, but he’s been more focused on trying to help the Thrashers get into the playoffs than on the contract.

Terry Koshan of the Toronto Sun: Koshan thinks the Leafs should re-sign both Tim Brent and Darryl Boyce, both will be UFA at seasons end. Brent made $575,000 and Boyce $527,000. Koshan also thinks the Leafs should give Reimer a shot at the starting job next year, and not go after Ilya Bryzgalov. They might have look at bringing in an experience backup.

Eric Stephens of the OC Register: Ducks forward Bobby Ryan will see how he feels at their morning skate today before determining if be in the lineup today or not against the Sharks. He injuryed his knee towards the end of Wednesday’s game against the Flames.
