Rumors II: Wild, Rangers, Canadiens, Senators and Bruins
  •  Michael Russo of the Star Tribune: The Wild had been trying to trade Kyle Brodziak all summer and will likely continue. The Wild don’t really want to have a fourth line forward making $3 million a season.
  • Steve Zipay: (answering question) The Rangers are not looking to trade for a center right now.
  • The Fourth Period: Canadiens GM Marc Bergevin said that he’s still “working on something” to get their roster down. The Canadiens have been shopping Travis Moen and his $1.85 million salary cap hit.
  • The Fourth Period: The Senators would like to move a depth forward, and could trade a defenseman if the right the deal came in.
  • Brent Wallace: Senators GM Bryan Murray said that Marc Methot turned down their latest offer. There is no new offer coming from the Senators at this point.
  • Tom Gulitti: (signed with Wild yesterday) Ryan Carter confirmed that he received an offer from the Devils earlier this summer and he rejected it. Didn’t know if it still stood. He also talked to the Wild earlier in the summer and they circled back a few days ago.
  • Renaud Lavoie: Simon Gagne will likely remain on a PTO with the Bruins for the week. They want a little more time before making a decision on whether to sign him or not.
