The Detroit Red Wings have traded defenseman Brad Stuart to the San Jose Sharks for Andrew Murray and a conditional 2014 draft pick.
Helene St. James via twitter: Murray was a throw in, and won’t be signed by the Red Wings.
Ansar Khan via twitter: Stuart had his heart set on heading to San Jose to be with his family which wasn’t able to relocate. Red Wings GM Ken Holland said he made a contract offer to Stuart, but he didn’t want to get into negotiations.
