Chip Alexander: Carolina Hurricanes coach Rod Brind’Amour said that Erik Haula left last night’s game for precautionary reasons. It is not related to a knee.

Caley Chelios: Tampa Bay Lightning coach Jon Cooper said that forward Patrick Maroon “tweaked something” and is listed as day-to-day.

Craig Morgan: Arizona Coyotes forward Vinnie Hinostroza is day-to-day with an upper-body injury. Defenseman Niklas Hjalmarsson is sick.

Isabelle Khurshudyan: Washington Capitals forward Lars Eller is listed as day-to-day with an upper-body injury. The Capitals are being cautious with him.
