Injury notes for the Bruins and Blues
Forward Chris Wagner has a right arm injury and it’s looking like he could be done as well.
It is looking like the defenseman Zdeno Chara will be able to play.
“We’ve got some time to evaluate where guys will be,” said Sweeney, referencing the 10-day layoff between the conference final and the Stanley Cup Final. “I don’t expect to be ready to play. I’ll be really surprised if will be ready to play, but we’ll see where that goes.”
Senators coaching search now involves Patrick Roy
Bruce Garrioch of the Ottawa Sun: The Ottawa Senators are expected to interview Patrick Roy this week for their vacant head coaching position. Roy would be the seventh coach they’ve interviewed.
Roy has a good relationship with Senators assistant GM Peter MacTavish.
Roy had a 130-92-24 record with the Colorado Avalanche.
After this round of interviews, GM Pierre Dorion is expected to interview the top one or two candidates again before making a final decision.
Bruce Garrioch of the Ottawa Sun: Senators interim head coach Marc Crawford is still under consideration is hopeful he’ll get a full-time short.
He is happy that they are talking to Patrick Roy, doing their due-diligence and doesn’t think they should rush any decision.
