The Blues lock up their Stanley Cup winning goaltender

NHL.com: The St. Louis Blues have re-signed goaltender Jordan Binnington to a two-year deal with an AAV of $4.4 million.

“I’m happy to get this deal done with the St. Louis Blues,” Binnington told the Blues website. “To the city of St. Louis, thank you for welcoming me in and trusting me to do me. I’m excited and motivated to keep doing my job and keep bringing success to the St. Louis Blues organization.”

Cap Friendly: Binnington’s new contract doesn’t have any signing bonuses and is all base salary.

2019-20: $4,550,000
2020-21: $4,250,000

Capitals sign a defenseman

Washington Capitals: The Capitals have signed defenseman Colby Williams to a one-year, two-way contract that will pay him $700,000 in the NHL and $90,000 in the minors.

Sens close to signing an RFA

Chris Stevenson: Hearing that the Senators are close to signing restricted free agent Michael Carcone.

The Senators acquired him in the Nikita Zaitsev trade. They had been trying to trade for him dating back to last December.
