Bouchard is looking to begin a rehab assignment in Houston (AHL). Colton Gillis was assigned to Houston. Marek Zidlicky is questionable for the weekend due to a lower body injury.
  • Darren Dreger of TSN: Dion Phaneuf’s deep cut could have been a lot worse, as doctors discovered that his MCL was nicked, requiring a couple stitches. James Mirtle of the Globe and Mail: Leafs tell the media that Phaneuf will be out 4-6 weeks.
