NHL Rumors: Winnipeg Jets, Calgary Flames, and a Top 30 Trade Bait Board
The Calgary Flames are looking for top-nine winger. The Winnipeg Jets are looking for a forward.
On the Winnipeg Jets …

Pierre LeBrun of The Athletic: Believe that Jets GM Kevin Cheveldayoff will be watching the forward trade market, despite losing defenseman Jacob Trouba for six to eight weeks.

Cheveldayoff may be willing to move some of their futures if the right deal arises. The Jets will make the playoffs and they want to add.

On the Calgary Flames …

Pierre LeBrun of The Athletic: With Jaromir Jagr assigned to the Czech league, the Flames now gain his salary cap space, giving them a little more flexibility leading up to the trade deadline.

The Flames could be looking for a top-nine winger. They don’t have a first- or second-round pick as they moved them at last year’s draft for defenseman Travis Hamonic.

isn’t sure if the Flames will want to get into the rental market. They could be looking to add someone that has term left on their deal.
