The Boston Bruins haven't made a contract offer to Marcus Johansson
Golden Knights and Nosek close to a deal

Justin Emerson: Vegas Golden Knights GM George McPhee said that they are close to signing Tomas Nosek.

Bruins sent an offer to Acciari but not Johansson

Joe Haggerty: Boston Bruins GM Don Sweeney said that they sent an offer to free agent fourth liner Noel Acciari. They hope he’ll sign but realize he’ll get outside interest.

Boston Hockey Now: The Bruins have not made an offer to UFA Marcus Johansson but they have had conversations with him.

Shawn Hutcheon: Sweeney on free agency: “We’ve been in the interview period, so we’ve had a lot of discussions and some planning. We’ll be adding some players, for sure, come July 1.”

Tallon not a fan of the long, free agent interview period

George Richards of The Athletic: Florida Panthers GM Dale Tallon is talking to a lot of different players at different positions. Tallon just wants July 1st and free agency to get here.

“And I dread this, I hate this week to tell you the truth. I look forward to Monday to get some results. I don’t want a whole week after a long, hard work week in Vancouver and flying back here and having to discuss this with the agents for a week. It’s not a lot of fun. …

“Let’s put it this way, we have spread a lot of fertilizer out there. And I’m pretty good at that. So we’re hoping that a little water, a little rain and it will come to bloom. But yeah, we are confident we’re going to make our team better. We’re trying to hit some home runs here. But if we have to hit three singles to score a run, we will think about that as well. We’re going to do everything we can to possibly get better and to get Q the players we need to get us to the promised land.”
