NHL Rumors: The Los Angeles Kings May Not Be Finished Making Trades
The Los Angeles Kings continue to talk trades. Jake Muzzin and Tyler Toffoli could be two players teams are interested in.
Kings likely not done making moves

David Pagnotta: Get the sense that the Los Angeles Kings aren’t finished making moves. GM Rob Blake has been exploring multiple options.

David Pagnotta: The Los Angeles Kings are still listening to players like forward Tyler Toffoli and defenseman Jake Muzzin. It’s not going be a firesale but more of a retool.

Yesterday’s acquisition of Carl Hagelin was to add some speed and for a change of scenery. If Hagelin doesn’t work out, he’s a pending unrestricted free agent and they’ll gain the salary cap space.

Could the Bruins be interested in a King?

Matt Porter: (going off of Pagnotta’s above tweet) If the Kings make Tyler Toffoli available he would make some sense for the Boston Bruins. He’s a 26-year old proven scorer who is right-handed. He is under contract through next season at $4.6 million.

The Bruins could send the Kings a young winger for Toffoli.

Maybe time for the Kings to revisit talks with the Maple Leafs

Dennis Bernstein: The Kings have been linked to Toronto Maple Leafs RFA William Nylander. They made a trade offer to the Maple Leafs earlier this season. Maybe it is time to revisit those trade talks.

The Fourth Period: The Kings had been talking to teams about Tanner Pearson before they moved to him Pittsburgh. Defenseman Jake Muzzin has also come up in trade talks.

Peason and Muzzin had been discussed with the Maple Leafs.

Multiple sources saying the Kings are testing the trade market for Tyler Toffoli among others.

One source has said that when they were talking to the Montreal Canadiens about Max Pacioretty, Toffoli’s name had come up.

It’s possible that the Maple Leafs and Kings trade talk could expand into ‘blockbuster status’ and include Toffoli.

Thinking out loud and not a rumor

Mark Savard: “Just thinking out loud…If Willy Nylander doesn’t sign with I think I’d try and make this deal.. Nylander and Gardner to L.A for Doughty and Kempe…Thoughts after Doughty’s article today, I’d say he would accept a trade to Toronto tomorrow!!!!!”
