NHL Rumors: Dallas Stars, LA Kings, and Boston Bruins
Looking at five players the Boston Bruins could potentially trade.
On the Dallas Stars …

Andy Strickland: Forward Tyler Seguin would be a free agent after next season and the Stars would like to not have a potential John Tavares – New York Islanders situation. “Would they trade Seguin if they can’t get a deal done this Summer?”

On the Los Angeles Kings …

Dennis Bernstein: (answering question) If Slava Voynov gets reinstated by the NHL, believes that the Kings will trade his rights if they are able to find any team interested.

Dennis Bernstein: (answering question) Yes, Max Pacioretty could be a good fit in LA, but wonder about their ability to sign him to a long-term contract extension with overpaying.

On the Boston Bruins …

Joe Haggerty of NBC Sports Boston: Looking at five potential trade chips for the Boston Bruins this offseason. The Bruins could be looking to add a top-four left-handed defenseman and a second line scoring right winger. They could re-sign Rick Nash.

Torey Krug – The Bruins could move the smaller Krug for someone bigger. He is one of the better offensive defensemen and is a key component of their power player though. Not an easy move for the Bruins. The Oilers or Hurricanes could be fits.

David Backes – Some teams could be looking to reach the salary floor, and maybe looking to add a physical-leader. The 34-year old carries a $6 million cap hit for the next three years and maybe a better buyout candidate than trade candidate. Backes holds a no-movement clause.

David Krejci – A trade would be more about moving his $7.25 million salary than getting value. The Bruins may not have a third line center in the organization, nevermind someone ready yet to fill the No. 2 role if they moved Krejci.

Tuukka Rask – 31-year old Rask carries a $7 million salary cap hit. Internally Anton Khudobin, Zane McIntyre and Daniel Vladar are not/not ready to be a No. 1. Trade value for goalies like Rask isn’t like it use to be.

Brandon Carlo – Teams have been interested in the 22-year old defenseman. If the Bruins were looking to acquire an impact player, teams would ask about Carlo. The Bruins may not be interested in moving any of their young defensemen, and really missed him when he was injured in the playoffs.
