NHL Rumors: Scouting WSH-STL, Columbus Blue Jackets, and the Anaheim Ducks
The Anaheim Ducks will take a shot at re-signing Jakob Silfverberg, but they could move him if they can't come to terms.

Some teams could go aggressive and try to acquire Bobrovsky before free agency

Brett Cyrgalis of the NY Post: Sergei Bobrovsky has one foot out the door in Columbus and there shouldn’t be a problem with him waiving his no-trade clause. His recent ‘incident’ and lack of playoff success might lessen his return if they move him.

Though he’s a pending UFA and a team could wait until after the season, maybe teams like the Carolina Hurricanes, Vancouver Canucks, Buffalo Sabres, Florida Panthers, St. Louis Blues, New York Islanders or New Jersey Devils go aggressive and take a run at him now.

Ducks will try to re-sign Silfverberg but a trade is still possible

Craig Custance: Anaheim Ducks GM on pending UFA Jakob Silfverberg: “I’ll take another crack at signing him…He’s a good hockey player. He’s one of the ones who is standing up and being counted.”

Chris Nichols of Nichols on Hockey: Elliotte Friedman was on Sportsnet 960 talking about the Anaheim Ducks.

“I don’t think I’d be surprised at all if Silfverberg gets traded,” said Friedman. “I heard that Pittsburgh was kicking tires on him earlier in the year.

“I think the fact that Silfverberg hasn’t been signed yet as a pending UFA – I heard that he and the Ducks, they weren’t close, or they were really battling and it was a hard grind to get it done.”

The Ducks have battled injuries and key pieces like defenseman Cam Fowler and forward Rickard Rakell were out for a long time. GM Bob Murray wants to see how they play with Fowler and Rakell back in the lineup before committing to a coaching change.
