NHL Rumors: Sabres, Rangers, Canucks and Coyotes
The Vancouver Canucks may have inquired about Max Domi and Tobias Rieder.
On the Buffalo Sabres …

WGR 550: Darren Dreger on Sabres defenseman Josh Gorges: “ have let it be known they’ll take back some of his salary… St. Louis is a team that’s shown interest. I do believe Josh Gorges will be traded.”

On the New York Rangers …

Larry Brooks of the NY Post: The Rangers don’t plan on calling up their 2017 first-round picks Lias Andersson and Filip Chytil for an extended period of time.

“We are not going to burn the first year off any contracts,” general manager Jeff Gorton told The Post following practice Friday.

Both players have already signed their entry-level contracts and are playing in the AHL.

If they play less than 10 NHL games, their contracts would slide. Andersen hasn’t played any NHL games, with Chytil being able to get into NHL games without burning a year.

On the Vancouver Canucks and Arizona Coyotes …

Rick Dhaliwal: Source saying: “I hear the have inquired about Max Domi and Tobias Rieder out of Arizona. Making calls is easy, striking deals is not, asking price is high”

On the Arizona Coyotes …

Craig Morgan of Arizona Sports: There are no active discussions about the Coyotes trading Max Domi.

The trade rumors involving Domi have quieted down a bit after Pierre LeBrun and Bob McKenzie reported that the Coyotes were not actively shopping Domi. Elliotte Friedman did say that they are willing to give Domi a fresh start if they get a fair off for him, that if it doesn’t happen at the trade deadline it could happen at the draft.

The will listen to trade offers on anyone not named Oliver Ekman-Larsson and Clayton Keller.

Domi has struggled this season. His trade value is low right now and GM John Chayka isn’t going to move him unless he gets what he thinks he’s worth.

Domi is a pending RFA and there have been no contract talks yet.
