NHL Rumors: Pacioretty, Rieder, Flyers, Bruins, and Lightning
Tobias Rieder getting lots of interest
On Max Pacioretty …

WGR 550: Louis Jean was on WGR 550 and said that Max Pacioretty ideally wants a seven- or eight-year contract extension.

WGR 550: Louis Jean – Pacioretty is a 30-goal scorer and he wants to get paid. Indications are that it’s not going to happen with the Canadiens

On Tobias Rieder

Craig Custance: Free agent Tobias Rieder continues to draw significant interest. Among the teams that have shown interest include the Vancouver Canucks, Calgary Flames, Edmonton Oilers, Florida Panthers, Montreal Canadiens and New York Rangers.

Darren Dreger: Believe that the Ottawa Senators are also in the mix.

On the Philadelphia Flyers …

NBC Sports Philadelphia: Looking at if defenseman Calvin de Haan fits and makes sense for the Flyers.

John Boruk: The left-handed defenseman has a history of injuries and is coming off shoulder surgery. The Flyers need a right-handed defenseman over a left-handed one.

Tom Dougherty: GM Ron Hextall would like to add second pairing defenseman. As many as 10 teams have shown some interest in de Haan.

Jordan Hall: A left-handed dman may not be exactly what the Flyers need, but if they can get him at a reasonable price the reward is greater than the risk.

On the Boston Bruins and Tampa Bay Lightning …

Joe Smith: (going off Haggerty’s below post) Lightning GM Steve Yzerman said that they plan on signing all their restricted free agents, and there have been talks with defenseman Slater Koekkoek. A trade could be possible, but unlikely with the Bruins. A change of scenery could benefit Koekkoek.

Joe Haggerty of NBC Sports Boston: The Bruins have been looking for a left-handed defenseman that could possibly play in their top-four. A source is saying the Bruins have spoken to the Tampa Bay Lightning about defenseman Slater Koekkoek.

The 24-year old has had trouble cracking the Lightning lineup and could possibly benefit from a fresh start.

The source added that a trade between the two teams seems unlikely for the division rivals.

If Koekkoek is made available, could expect the Edmonton Oilers to be among the teams interested.
