Rick Dhaliwal: The Lightning are carrying eight defensemen, and Koekkoek is having trouble getting into the lineup.

Jason Botchford of the Vancouver Province: There has been some speculation that the Canucks are shopping Ben Hutton. There had been some speculation this week that they would/should look to add another defenseman with the injuries to Alex Edler and Troy Stecher.

“No, we’re not,” Benning said. “We called up Wiercioch and have 7 D now so we’re not doing anything.”
