NHL Rumors: Flyers, Lightning, Penguins and Canucks
Could the Philadelphia Flyers be interested in Paul Stastny?
On the Philadelphia Flyers …

Sam Carchidi: Would be a surprise if the Flyers were able to sign James van Riemsdyk, Mike Green or David Perron. The Flyers could look at Paul Stastny, who could be a second or third line center. Winger Michael Grabner has speed and would help their power play. A veteran defenseman like Ian Cole might be a good addition.

On the Tampa Bay Lightning …

Larry Brooks: If the Lightning are able to sign John Tavares, it could mean they’ll have to trade J.T. Miller.

On the Pittsburgh Penguins …

Matt Gajtka: A source is saying that now unrestricted free agent Anthony Duclair is drawing interest from the Penguins. The Chicago Blackhawks didn’t qualify him yesterday. If Duclair is looking a deal around the $1.2 million he made last season, the Penguins would be interested.

Jason Mackey: Penguins GM Jim Rutherford on not making a trade: “I think it would be good if we could make a few changes. But if we don’t, we still have a good team.”

Jason Mackey: The Penguins didn’t qualify Riley Sheahan but would expect them to try and re-sign Sheahan. If they aren’t able too, Teddy Blueger could be his replacement.

On the Vancouver Canucks …

Rick Dhaliwal: Derrick Pouliot is now an unrestricted free agent, but there is interest from both sides to get a deal done. He wasn’t qualified.

Rick Dhaliwal: Canucks GM Jim Benning on talking with the reps for Brock Boeser after July 1st about an extension: “I think we will have conversations with his agent and see where they are at and make a decision from there.”

Rick Dhaliwal: Benning said that they are talking contract with the agents for Sven Baertschi, Jake Virtanen, Troy Stecher, Derrick Pouliot and Darren Archibald.

Rick Dhaliwal: Andre Rufener, Sven Baertschi’s agent on the contract talks with the Canucks: “going in the right direction but not done. Still in the process.”

Rick Dhaliwal: The Canucks checked in with the camp for center Riley Nash.
