NHL Rumors: Brodziak, Beagle, Roussel, O’Reilly, Stastny, and the Penguins
The Vancouver Canucks are interested in Antoine Rousse. Paul Stastny waiting patiently.
On Kyle Brodziak

Jim Thomas: Despite the reports of the Edmonton Oilers interest, hearing that the Blues are still in the mix for Kyle Brodziak.

On Jay Beagle

Rick Dhaliwal: The Canucks are still in on Jay Beagle, but with so many other teams interested, the price and term keeps increasing.

On Antoine Roussel

Rick Dhaliwal: Antoine Roussel’s agent: “We have talked to over 10 teams but we will not divulge who at this time.”

Rick Dhaliwal: Have been hearing a four-year deal between the Canucks and Roussel at just over a $3 million salary cap hit.

On Ryan O’Reilly

WGR 550: Louis Jean on what it might cost the Canadiens for Sabres center Ryan O’Reilly: “I think it would be draft picks. There’s not a whole lot in the system. Noah Juulsen is potentially a guy that could make the jump to the NHL next year.”

On Paul Stastny

Ken Wiebe: “Paul Stastny is a methodical guy so it’s no surprise he’s taking time to make a very important decision for him and his family. I believe the remain a viable candidate but he has to review all the info available to him, that’s not likely possible until John Tavares decides”

Ken Wiebe: “One thing hasn’t changed, C Paul Stastny is going to need to take fewer dollars and less term to remain with So my point is he probably hasn’t heard the best offer yet from the other interested parties, he’s simply doing his due diligence before coming to final decision”

On the Pittsburgh Penguins …

Jimmy Murphy: The Penguins have been trying to make a “hockey trade.” Sounds like they are looking for “jam with scoring up front.”

Jimmy Murphy: Had been told earlier this week that the Penguins weren’t looking at Max Pacioretty as a potential top-six winger. That can obviously change.
