Tyler Bozak getting interest including from the Toronto Maple Leafs. The Boston Bruins have asked about David Krejci and David Backes no-movement clauses and asked for no-trade lists.
On the Boston Bruins …

Jimmy Murphy: Have been hearing that the Bruins have asked David Krejci and David Backes about their no-movement clauses and for a list of teams. One source speculating that the Bruins asked Krejci before this past trade deadline.

Kevin Paul Dupont: Both Krejci and Backes have no-movement clause through 2018-19, but not afterward.

Kevin Paul Dupont: Anton Khudobin‘s agent Kent Hughes on reports that the Khudobin has been asking the Bruins for $4 million a season: “Completely inaccurate…nor have we asked for anything in the $3M range.” guesses that Khudobin is looking for $5 million over two years.

Matt Dolloff of 98.5 The Sports Hub: Mark Divver reported that Bruins could be interested in free agent winger Michael Grabner.

The Bruins could find Grabner too expensive, especially if they are able to sign John Tavares. They lost out on Ilya Kovalchuck, and Rick Nash‘s future is in question, so Grabner may be one of their better options on the wing.

On the Toronto Maple Leafs …

Lance Hornby of the Toronto Sun: The Maple Leafs qualified William Nylander on Monday. It is believed that Nylander will be looking for a contract signed by Boston Bruins David Pastrnak – six years with a salary cap hit of $6.67 million.

Nylander could also go the bridge contract route and look to cash in bigger on his next deal.

Terry Koshan of the Toronto Sun: It’s believed that the Maple Leafs were one of the teams interested in center Tyler Bozak. The Maple Leafs don’t have a lot of depth at center if they can’t sign John Tavares.

Bozak made $4.2 million last year, and the Leafs wouldn’t go that high again.

After Tavares and Bozak, there are not a lot of options – Paul Stastny and Joe Thornton. Riley Nash and Derek Ryan are depth centers.

UFA defenseman include Mike Green, Thomas Hickey, Ian Cole, and John Moore.

Contract talks between the Maple Leafs and RFA William Nylander have started.
