NHL Rumors: Blues, Hurricanes, Maple Leafs, Kings, Canucks and Flyers
Teams are calling the Los Angeles Kings about Tyler Toffoli, Tanner Pearson and Alec Martinez.

Bruce Garrioch of the Ottawa Citizen: The internal options to help fix the St. Louis Blues struggles are limited. Blues GM Doug Armstong isn’t afraid to make a move and a coaching move is a possibility. Alain Vigneault could be an option. The Rangers are paying him $4.5 million and might be willing to eat some of his contract to get him off the books.

The Carolina Hurricanes are off to a good start and GM Don Waddell has indicated that they are open for business. The Hurricanes have depth on the blueline, especially on the right side, and there will be interest leading up to the trade deadline. The Toronto Maple Leafs and Edmonton Oilers are looking for a right-handed defenseman. Teams will look at Justin Faulk and Brett Pesce, but the Hurricanes may not want to make a move if they are in the playoff hunt.

The Hurricanes have been linked Maple Leafs William Nylander.

Five teams have shown interest in undrafted Tye Felhaber. He’s scored 15 goals and added nine assists in 15 games.

Los Angeles Kings head coach John Stevens is on the hot seat but GM Rob Blake may prefer not to make that change just yet. Stevens said he’s not really worrying about it.

Teams are starting to call the Kings and are asking about Tanner Pearson (three years left at $3.75 million) and Tyler Toffoli (two years left at $4.6 million).

Teams have brought up defenseman Alec Martinez and a league executive expects calls will be made about Jake Muzzin as well.

Vancouver Canucks pending restricted free agent defensman Ben Hutton could get some interest. The Canucks may be looking to move out a defenseman. Hutton makes $2.5 million this season.

The Philadelphia Flyers may start looking for a forward with some grit. They are have lost four in a row and are off to a 4-7-0 start. They have some prospects they could move.
