Eric Stephens: The Ducks could be looking to sign University of Denver’s Troy Terry when his junior season is over.

The Ducks nor Terry’s adviser Kurt Overhardt would comment if the sides have already spoken.

Ducks Director of Player Development has met with Terry, as well as their other college prospects throughout the season.

The Ducks drafted Terry in the fifth-round of the 2015 draft. Terry was one of four college players to be on the U.S. Olympic team.

Michael Russo of The Athletic: Teams were scouting NCAA free agents Minnesota State defenseman Daniel Brickley and St. Cloud State defenseman Jimmy Schuldt over the weekend. Both are considered two of the top free agents.

Brickley could be NHL ready, and sources are saying that 30 teams have inquired. The Wild on are one of several teams are in hot pursuit.

Sources are saying Wild are one of 22 teams that have shown interest in Schuldt.

None of the Red Wings goaltender prospects are close to being NHL ready. So after next season, the Red Wings options would be to re-sign Howard, sign a UFA or trade for a starting goaltender.
