Brian Hedger: Coach John Tortorella said that Alex Wennberg is day-to-day with a “body” injury.

Helene St. James: Coach Jeff Blashill said that forward Martin Frk could be out a week with a lower-body injury.

On the Los Angeles Kings …

Jon Rosen: The Kings have recalled Andrew Crescenzi from the AHL.

Dennis Bernstein: GM Rob Blake said that Jeff Carter‘s return is still a long ways away.

Dennis Bernstein:  Blake said that forward Marian Gaborik is a couple of weeks away from returning. He could join them on their road trip in early December.

On the Ottawa Senators …

TSN: Senators GM Pierre Dorion said that after Clarke MacArthur failed his physical at training camp, he since moved to Florida. Dorion noted that if MacArthur wanted to give it another shot next year, they would consider it, but isn’t optimistic.

“Oh, I doubt that one,” Dorion said when asked if MacArthur could join the team. “He’s moved to Florida, if I’m not mistaken. And after failing that medical… You know what, if he wants to come back next year and try, we’d definitely look at it.

“Clarke was a big part of our playoff success, but I think health  family comes before hockey any day… I couldn’t be responsible for allowing him to play after doctors said that he failed his medical.”

On the Nashville Predators …

Adam Vingan of The Tennessean: Forward Scott Hartnell will be out for three to five weeks with a lower-body injury. Hartnell was injured on Saturday and was only on the ice for three shifts.

Defenseman Yannick Weber was also injured on a Saturday and will be out for two to four weeks with a lower-body injury.

Both Hartnell and Weber were put on the IR.

On the New Jersey Devils …

Andrew Gross: Coach John Hynes said yesterday that forward Marcus Johansson, out with a concussion, has done some light skating on his own. He has also done some off-ice workout and is in the early stages of recovery.

Amanda Stein: Defenseman Mirco Mueller fractured his clavicle on Sunday and is out indefinitely. He will have surgery on Thursday.

Andrew Gross: When the Devils are ready to activate Travis Zajac from the IR, they’ll put Mueller on the IR.

On the New York Islanders …

Cory Wright: Coach Doug Weight said that forward Shane Prince could lose his no-contact jersey as early as today.

On the Philadelphia Flyers …

Dave Isaac of the Courier-Post: Defenseman Andrew MacDonald is traveling with the Flyers but isn’t skating with teammates yet. He wasn’t on the ice for their morning skate yesterday but plans to skate on his own today.

“I’ve unfortunately had these types of situations before,” MacDonald said. “Typically, no, it doesn’t take too long. Three weeks of not skating, you’d be surprised how quickly you can get it back. It doesn’t take too much. There’s a process you try to follow and make sure you keep an eye on things and there’s no setbacks.”

Tarik El-Bashir: The Capitals assign Tyler Graovac to the AHL on a long-term conditioning stint.

Tarik El-Bashir: When a player agrees to a conditioning stint, he doesn’t need to clear waivers and stay there for a maximum of 14 days.

Tarik El-Bashir: Defenseman Christian Djoos left last night’s game early after suffering an upper-body injury.
