Dan Rosen: Center Sean Couturier left practice early. Limped off the ice with their trainer.

Dave Isaac: Couturier was in a collision with teammate Radko Gudas.

Dave Isaac: Gudas after practice: “I didn’t see him. He didn’t see me. Tough break.”

Dave Isaac: GM Ron Hextall said that they are still evaluating Couturier and that goaltender Michal Neuvirth is still day-to-day.

Dave Isaac: Projected forward lines: Giroux-Couturier-Voracek, Konecny-Patrick-Simmonds, Weal-Filppula-Raffl, Laughton-Lehtera-Read.

On the Pittsburgh Penguins …

Wes Crosby: Forward lines at practice: Guentzel-Crosby-Simon, Hagelin-Malkin-Kessel, Sheary-Brassard-Rust, Aston-Reese – Sheahan – Kuhnhackl.

Sam Werner: Coach Mike Sullivan said that Patric Hornqvist is out day-to-day with an upper-body injury. He will not play in Game 4.

Pittsburgh Penguins: Sullivan on Hornqvist:  “Hornqvist’s not an easy guy to replace. He’s a unique player for us. He brings a lot. By committee, we’re going to have to pick up the pieces… We believe we have the personnel to do it. We have depth at the forward position.”

Ken Wiebe: The Jets have recalled defenseman Sami Niku. Niku is not expected to play but as insurance is Tyler Myers isn’t able to play and if Toby Enstrom isn’t ready.

Ken Wiebe: Tyler Myers, Toby Enstrom, Mathieu Perreault and Adam Lowry weren’t on the ice this morning. Lowry is expected to play tonight.
