Amanda Stein: Defenseman Sami Vatanen confirms that he suffered a concussion and facial lacerations in Game 4 from the hit from Nikita Kucherov.

On the Pittsburgh Penguins …

Jason Mackey: Forward Carl Hagelin and Evgeny Malkin are both listed as day-to-day. Coach Mike Sullivan said that Hagelin is out with an upper-body injury. In the past, the Penguins have always specified if a player has a concussion.

Sam Werner: Both Hagelin and Malkin weren’t on the ice for practice yesterday.

On the Toronto Maple Leafs …

Mark Masters: Coach Mike Babcock said that Leo Komarov is ready to return to the lineup but Babcock hasn’t decided if he’ll play in Game 7 or not. They have some concern about just throwing him into the fire after he’s been off with his injury.
