Brent Wallace: Forward Zack Smith said it’s possible that he plays tonight.

Brent Wallace: Defenseman Mark Borowiecki said that he passed his concussion baseline test and is hoping to return next week against the Blackhawks or Maple Leafs.

On the Pittsburgh Penguins …

Pittsburgh Penguins: Coach Mike Sullivan on defenseman Brian Dumoulin: “Dumoulin was diagnosed with a concussion in Philly. At this point it is day-to-day. He is doing well. We are hopeful we will get him back in a timely fashion.”

Pittsburgh Penguins: Coach Sullivan on forward Carter Rowney: “Rowney is out longer term. It will be a minimum of 4 weeks with a upper body injury.”

Pittsburgh Penguins: Coach Sullivan on forward Bryan Rust and defenseman Chad Ruhwedel: “No update on Rust and Ruhwedel. They are longer-term, so there’s no real update as far as a timetable is concerned.”
