NHL Player Safety: The NHL fined Coyotes Oliver Ekman-Larsson for slashing Avs Sven Andrighetto.

Craig Morgan of Arizona Sports: Coyotes owner Andrew Barroway is talking with several investors about a potential partnership. It’s not known at this time what role/share they would possibly have.

Bringing on more investors would better position them for a new arena, practice facility and creating new partnerships with the community.

Barroway has been the sole owner of the Coyotes since June 2017 after completed buying out all minority owners.

On the Calgary Flames …

Derek Wills: Goaltender Mike Smith said he had another good day yesterday and they will see how he feels today. He wouldn’t say if he’s ready to play to or not. guessing that he’ll return to the lineup.

Pat Steinberg: Forward Kris Versteeg is also close to returning. Coach Glen Gulutzan said that he should have a few practices with the team this week and then they’ll go from there.

Mark Lazerus of the Chicago Sun-Times: Coach Joel Quenneville said that Anthony Duclair would be out for a week or two with a right knee injury.
