Pierre LeBrun: The Blackhawks and Coyotes Anthony Duclair trade talk heated up over the past seven to ten days. The Blackhawks looked at Duclair last year as well, but there wasn’t a fit. The Blackhawks like his speed and upside.

Stephen Whyno: Coyotes GM John Chayka on Duclair: “It’s gone back for a few years now where the team wasn’t particularly happy with the player, and the player wasn’t particularly happy with the team.”

Pierre LeBrun: Coyotes GM Chayka said that he’s been checking the trade interest for Duclair for close to two years. Chayka said that Blackhawks offer was easy the best offer he’s received in a long time.

Cap Friendly: Both Adam Clendening and Laurent Dauphin were in the AHL when traded, so they won’t require waivers when sent to their new AHL teams.

Bob McKenzie: Defenseman Zach Bogosian was injured in practice yesterday and will likely be out for four to six weeks with a lower-body injury – ankle?

Paul Hamilton: Forward Jacob Josefson is listed as day-to-day. Defensemen Marco Scandella and Rasmus Ristolainen were given maintenance days yesterday.

Brian Hedger: Injured Ryan Murray, Brandon Dubinsky, and Alexander Wennberg practiced yesterday. Wennberg was in full equipment for possibly the first time since his back injury sidelined him.

Mark Scheig: Wennberg was placed on the IR on December 26th and was expected to be out for four to six weeks.

Nashville Predators: The Predators have recalled goaltender Anders Lindback and assigned goaltender Juuse Saros.

Darren Dreger: Defenseman Nikita Zaitsev is likely two or three weeks away from returning from his foot injury.

Chris Johnston: Coach Mike Babcock said that defenseman Travis Dermott would join the rotation of Andreas Borgman and Connor Carrick.
