Dan Milstein: Defenseman Andrei Mironov cleared waivers and will be returning to Russia.

Mike Chambers: Goaltender Jonathan Bernier has been cleared to return. He had been out for seven games with a concussion. He practiced yesterday, but they will hold him out for today’s game. After the game, they will reassign goaltender Spencer Martin to the AHL.

Vladislav Kamenev will be activated from the IR soon and could begin a conditioning stint. He broke his forearm on Nov. 16 in his first game with the Avalanche.

Forward Sven Andreighetto is close to returning from his leg injury.

Defensemen Erik Johnson (upper-body) and Mark Barberio (upper-body) didn’t skate with the team and are not close to playing.

On the Montreal Canadiens …

Renaud Lavoie: Goaltender Carey Price was on the ice yesterday for the first time since his injury. There is a chance that he practices with the team while on their road trip.

Montreal Canadiens: Both forward Max Pacioretty (lower-body) and defenseman Victor Mete (hand) returned to Montreal yesterday to be further evaluated.

St. Louis Blues: Both forward Scottie Upshall and defenseman Jay Bouwmeester left yesterday’s game with lower-body injuries.

Jim Thomas: The Blues activated defenseman Robert Bortuzzo from the IR.

On the Toronto Maple Leafs …

Chris Johnston: Forward Auston Matthews is skating according to coach Mike Babcock. With it being a shoulder injury he’s able to keep up his conditioning.
