Derek Wills: Jaromir Jagr traveled with the team but didn’t practice this morning.

On the Dallas Stars …

Owen Newkirk: Goaltender Ben Bishop is not traveling with the team to St. Louis. He’s day-to-day with a sore back. They are hopeful he’ll be ready for Saturday.

On the Florida Panthers …

Jameson Olive: Coach Bob Boughner said that goaltender Roberto Luongo will be out for an extended period of time with a lower-body injury.

“It’s going to be an extended period of time,” Boughner said after practice at the Panthers IceDen. “Whether that’s three weeks, four weeks, five weeks, that’s going to his rehab goes, that kind of thing. definitely out for a while.”

Jameson Olive: Boughner added that Luongo’s injury is not related to his surgically repaired hip.

Patrick Johnston: Hearing that Roberto Luongo’s groin injury could keep him out for six to eight weeks. He had an MRI this morning. He had the same injury back in 2008 with the Canucks and was out for eight weeks.

On the Montreal Canadiens …

John Lu: Both Jonathan Drouin (virus) and Shea Weber (maintenance) didn’t practice today.

On the Philadelphia Flyers …

Philadelphia Flyers: The Flyers put defenseman Brandon Manning and goaltender Michal Neuvirth on the IR, and recalled defenseman TJ Brennan and goaltender Alex Lyon.

On the Pittsburgh Penguins …

Pens Inside Scoop: Defenseman Justin Schultz (lower-body) and goaltender Matt Murray (lower-body) were the only players missing from practice.

Bob McKenzie: The Penguins put Greg McKegg on waivers.

Kristen Shilton: Forward Tyler Bozak is ready to return to the lineup after a bout with food poisoning. Said he lost about five to seven pounds.
