NHL Injury Updates

Elliott Teaford: Anaheim Ducks forward Nick Ritchie will be out for six to 10 weeks with a sprained left MCL.

Defenseman Josh Manson might be ready to return on Tuesday.

Jimmy Greenfield: Chicago Blackhawks defenseman Duncan Keith and forward Andrew Shaw didn’t skate yesterday. Both are eligible to come off the IR.

Forward Drake Caggiula is skating with the team but isn’t playing yet. He’s still on the LTIR.

Mike Chambers: Colorado Avalanche goaltender Philipp Grubauer will test his injured hamstring before their morning skate today. If it is still an issue the Avs will pull him off and recall a goaltender.

Ryan S. Clark: There was no update on the status of Avs defenseman Cale Makar.

Daniel Nugent-Bowman: Edmonton Oilers defenseman Oscar Klefbom has seen his ice time decrease a bit the past couple of games. He suffered a foot injury last Wednesday after blocking a shot.

Daniel Nugent-Bowman: Oilers forward Ryan Nugent-Hopkins was activated off the IR and forward Colby Cave was reassigned to the AHL.

Michael Russo: Minnesota Wild GM Bill Guerin said that they don’t have a timeframe for forward Mikko Koivu who is out with a lower-body injury. Koivu isn’t happy that he’s missing games but Guerin said it’s important to take his time and get healthy.

Sens Communications: Ottawa Senators goaltender Craig Anderson has a lower-body injury.

Kevin Kurz: San Jose Sharks defenseman Radim Simek will have a minor procedure to fix his previously repaired meniscus according to GM Doug Wilson. Simek will be out for about two weeks.

Jeremy Rutherford: St. Louis Blues forward Zach Sanford is doubtful for tomorrow night.

Forwards Alex Steen and Oskar Sundqvist are traveling with the team but won’t play.

David Schoen: Vegas Golden Knights forward Cody Glass left last night’s game with an upper-body injury and will be re-evaluated today. Golden Knights head coach Gerard Gallant: “I hope it gets looked at. I think it was a bad hit.”
