Fluto Shinzawa: Boston Bruins forward Brett Ritchie missed yesterday’s game with an infected cut.

Fluto Shinzawa: Bruins forward David Backes didn’t return to the game after a collision with Senators Scott Sabourin.

Sean Shapiro: The Dallas Stars activated forward Blake Comeau from the IR and reassigned Nick Caamano to the AHL.

New Jersey Devils: Devils forward Jesper Bratt left yesterday’s game with an upper-body injury.

Andrew Gross: New York Islanders coach Barry Trotz said that they expect defenseman Nick Leddy to practice on Monday. He’s been listed as day-to-day with a lower-body injury. He’s been dealing with a nagging issue and they decided that he could use some time off.

New York Islanders: The Islanders put forward Andrew Ladd on the LTIR and sent him on a conditioning stint to Bridgeport (AHL).

Chris Johnston: Ottawa Senators forward Scott Sabourin was taken off the ice on a stretcher after a collision with David Backes.

Sabourin has movement in his extremities and was responsive.

Sens Communications: Sabourin was taken to a hospital for further evaluation. He was conscious and talking to doctors as he was leaving the arena.

Sens Communications: Senators forward Logan Brown left night’s game with an upper-body injury.

Mark Masters: After talking to the medical staff yesterday the Toronto Maple Leafs decided to hold John Tavares out for last night’s game. There was no setback and they are hopeful that he’ll be in the lineup on Tuesday.

Vegas Golden Knights: Goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury missed last night’s game with the flu.

David Schoen: Golden Knights forward Alex Tuch left last night’s game early with an upper-body injury.

“I thought it was a major penalty. Tuchy obviously didn’t play the rest of the game. I don’t know much more right now. It’s an upper-body injury; we’ll know more tomorrow, probably.”
