Joe McDonald: Boston Bruins forward Patrice Bergeron is expected to return to the lineup tonight.

Defenseman Torey Krug isn’t ready yet but could return on Saturday.

John Vogl: Buffalo Sabres forward Marcus Johansson isn’t initially traveling with the team. He could meet up with them in Florida.

Defenseman Zach Bogosian is traveling with the team.

Ansar Khan: Detroit Red Wings coach Jeff Blashill said that Mike Green and his upper-body injury are doubtful for tonight. He could be ready for Saturday.

Forward Darren Helm (lower-body) is questionable for tonight.

Defenseman Patrick Nemeth (leg) could return on Saturday.

Sens Communication: Ottawa Senators forward Vladislav Namestnikov left last night’s game early with a lower-body injury.

Josh Yohe: Pittsburgh Penguins defenseman Justin Schultz left practice with a groin injury. The severity of the injury isn’t known yet.

Pens Inside Scoop: Penguins forward Patric Hornqvist fully took part in practice yesterday.

Terry Koshan: Toronto Maple Leafs forward Alex Kerfoot has had his facial injury cleared but he hasn’t been able to eat properly. They will decide today if he’s able to go tonight.

Alex Seixeiro: Maple Leafs forward John Tavares was off yesterday for personal reasons.

Mark Masters: Forward Mitch Marner is expected to join the Leafs on the road as they did with Auston Matthews last season. Marner is still rehabbing his high ankle sprain.

Capitals PR: Washington Capitals forward Carl Hagelin was placed on the LTIR retroactive to December 2nd.

Forward Nic Dowd is on the IR and is eligible to be activated today.
