Paul Hendrick: With Tyler Bozak and Marner likely back, they’ll have to make a tough decision on which winger comes out.

Bruce Garrioch: The Senators are hopeful that Clarke MacArthur will be able to play next year.

Brent Wallace: Goaltender Andrew Hammond requires surgery for a torn labrum in his right hip. He’ll be out for the remainder of season, with recovery expected to be 12 weeks.

On the Washington Capitals …

Isabelle Khurshudyan: Coach Barry Trotz said that T.J. Oshie, Matt Niskanen and Brooks Orpik are all day-to-day. Trotz is the most encouraged with Niskanen’s progress.

Tarik El-Bashir of CSN Mid Atlantic: Niskanen felt good after practice, but wouldn’t say if he’ll be ready for tonight.

“It was good,” said Niskanen, who has been sidelined with a lower body injury. “ I’ve got some catching up to do.”

Minnesota Wild: Forwards Zach Parise and Jason Pominville have been diagnosed with mumps. Other members of the team and organization were being tested and if they show symptoms they will be put a 5-day isolation.

Lou Korac: Forward Ryan Reaves‘ status for today is not known. He blocked a shot on Sunday night and had his foot looked at yesterday.

On the Vancouver Canucks …

News 1130 Sports: Hearing that goaltender Jacob Markstrom was having a MRI yesterday.

Vancouver Canucks: Chris Tanev, Troy Stecher, and Luca Sbisa were on the ice yesterday. Sven Baertchi, Jack Skille and Erik Gudbranson skated before practice. Marcus Granlund, Ben Hutton, Nikita Tryamkin, Michael Chaput or Jacob Markstrom didn’t skate.

On the Winnipeg Jets …

Ken Wiebe: Defenseman Tyler Myers and his lower-body injury are progressing. Coach Paul Maurice said that Myers is still on the same timeline to return – before the end of the season.
