Palat out this weekend, Hedman to be re-evaluated next week
Erik Erlendsson: Tampa Bay Lightning GM Julien BriseBois said that forward Ondrej Palat didn’t travel with the team and he won’t be playing this weekend. Palat is still listed as day-to-day and he hasn’t been ruled out of Tuesday game.
There is no change in defenseman Victor Hedman‘s status. He’ll be re-evaluated next week.
Lehner day-to-day with a back strain
Andrew Gross: New York Islanders goaltender Robin Lehner is day-to-day with a strain. Lehner on leaving after the second period on Tuesday: “I just felt something in my back, it started spasming a bit. We’ve been working on it. It definitely feels better.”
Orpik out again
Isabelle Khurshudyan: Washington Capitals defenseman Brooks Orpik will miss today’s game with a lower-body injury.
McAvoy is believed to have a concussion
Kevin Paul Dupont: It is believed that defenseman Charlie McAvoy has a concussion but the Boston Bruins won’t confirm or reveal what the upper-body issue is.
Radulov back in Dallas
Sean Shapiro: Dallas Stars forward Alexander Radulov has missed five of their past six games. From his Instagram account, it appears that he back in Dallas and won’t be playing against the Capitals. Likely a good idea to let him rest up and not rush him back.
Baertschi’s concussion recovery going slowly
Rick Dhaliwal: Sven Baertschi‘s agent Andre Rufener on his concussion: “A cheap shot by Hyka who had no consequences for the hit. Sven is recovering very slow so far, it’s going to take a while.”

John Shannon: The Edmonton Oilers activated forward Ty Rattie and reassigned Cooper Marody to the to the AHL.
No return date set for Tkachuk

Carrick to the IR
Sean Shapiro: The Dallas Stars have placed defenseman Connor Carrick on the IR retroactive to October 28th and recalled defenseman Dillon Heatherington.
Hendricks could return
Sarah McLellan: Nate Prosser will play two games this weekend with the Minnesota Wild’s AHL team in Iowa. Coach Bruce Boudreau thinks that Matt Hendricks could return from his lower-body injury at some point on their road trip.
Michael Russo: Henricks was skating on the fourth line at practice yesterday so he could be in the lineup today.
LaDue not skating
Jon Rosen: Los Angeles Kings defenseman Paul LaDue didn’t skate yesterday.
DeKeyser hopes to return today
Dana Wakiji of NHL.com: Detroit Red Wings defenseman Danny DeKeyser could return from his hand injury today. He’s missed the past three weeks.
“We had a good practice, had a good skate. Did some more battle stuff in the corner and it felt good,” DeKeyser said after Friday’s practice at the BELFOR Training Center. “I’m going to give it a go tomorrow and take it from there. It’s feeling good.”
