“We’ll talk in the morning,” Sutter said when asked about Gaborik’s availability Saturday. “If he thinks he’s ready to play, we’ll make a decision. I’m not sure. He hasn’t played in nine weeks. The player really has to tell you he’s ready and the coaching staff has to think so, too.”

Terry Frei: Rene Bourque is sick and didn’t practice yesterday. Semyon Varlamov didn’t practice due to an upper-body injury.

Ron Knabenbauer of NHL.com: Coach Jared Bednar on Bourque and Varlamov.

“I’m assuming is going to be good to go for tomorrow. Just not feeling well this morning, so we wanted to keep him away from the rink,” said head coach Jared Bednar. “Varlamov has an upper-body injury; he won’t go tomorrow, so he had the morning off the ice. He should be full practice by Sunday.”
