NHL Injuries: Rangers, Devils, Stars, Oilers and More
Add Cory Schneider to the list of NHL injuries as he left last night's game with a leg injury

On the New York Rangers …

  • Brett Cyrgalis of the NY Post: Coach Alain Vigneault continues to say that Henrik Lundqvist is day-to-day and isn’t ruling him out for Sunday’s game.

“He’s getting evaluated ,” Vigneault said after backup Antti Raanta got the win by making 32 saves, while call-up Magnus Hellberg backed up. “He’s getting his neck checked out and he’s still day-to-day.”

Defensman Marc Staal returned to the lineup after missing Thursday’s game with flu.

  • Pat Leonard: Rick Nash skated again yesterday. That would be two straight days that he was on the ice.
  • Pat Leonard: Coach Alain Vigneault said that his forward group has some “bumps and bruises” they may reduce some ice time.

On the New Jersey Devils …

  • Tom Gulitti: Coach John Hynes didn’t have an update on Cory Schneider. He’ll be checked out when they get back to New Jersey. Hynes added that it’s too soon to say if a call up is needed for Sunday. Guess is that we won’t have an update on Schneider until Sunday as the Devils won’t arrive back in New Jersey until mid afternoon today.
  • Rich Chere: Defenseman David Warsofsky is out with a lower-body injury.

On the Dallas Stars …

  • Dallas Stars: Defenseman John Klingberg left last night’s game with a lower-body injury.

On the Edmonton Oilers …

On the Columbus Blue Jackets …

  • Aaron Portzline: Brandon Saad has an upper-body injury and won’t travel with the team to Philadelphia.

On the Winnipeg Jets …

  • Paul Friesen of the Winnipeg Sun: Jets rookie Nikolaj Ehlers was struck in the face by the puck in Thursday’s game. It broke his visor, causing some cuts around his eyes, which resulted in some blood getting into his eye chamber.

“We’ll know (more) in the next 24 hours after he sees specialists and he’s tested,” Maurice said, Friday. “He’ll be 100% shut down until it’s dissipated. That’s going to extend that injury, because he won’t get on a bike, go for a brisk walk, until it’s completely gone.”

Anthony Peluso is out at least three to four weeks with an upper-body injury.

Jacob Trouba missed practice yesterday and is probable for today.

On the NHL draft …

  • Juha Hiitela: Jesse Puljujarvi left yesterday’s game with a ‘lower body injury” after taking a hit. Was limping afterwards.
