On the Anaheim Ducks …

Anaheim Ducks: Defensemen Sami Vatanen and Hampus Lindholm are both day-to-day with upper-body injuries.

Eric Stephens of the OC Register: Defenseman Cam Fowler was helped off the ice in the third period after a knee-on-knee hit from Flames defenseman Mark Giordano. He wasn’t able to put any weight on his right knee.

“He came through the middle with a lot of speed and I was honestly coming across to make a hit on him,” Giordano said. “I have to watch it again, but I think our legs collided, I don’t know how bad.

“I just hope he’s OK. You don’t like to see, obviously, guys get hurt. There was no intent to hurt him there. I’m just trying to come across in a 2-1 game to try to stop him from getting to our net, try to make a hit.”

On the Calgary Flames …

Wes Gilbertson: Goaltender Chad Johnson left last night’s game early.

Wes Gilbertson: Johnson will return to Calgary for evaluation according to coach Glen Gulutzan. They are “optimistic” about his status.
