Lance Lysowski: Boston Bruins defenseman Charlie McAvoy won’t play today and forward Brad Marchand is unlikely.

Boston Bruins: Bruins coach Bruce Cassidy said that Marchand has an upper-body injury. He is traveling with the team and Cassidy added: “He was not feeling well going into the game …will have a much better idea tomorrow.”

Pominville could return today

Joe Yerdon: Buffalo Sabres forward Jason Pominville is a possibility for today against the Bruins. Defensemen Scott Wilson is progressing well.

No update on Crawford

Scott Powers: Chicago Blackhawks coach Jeremy Colliton didn’t have an update on goaltender Corey Crawford‘s status.

Oilers could get a defenseman back today

Edmonton Oilers: The Oilers could get defenseman Kris Russell back today. Oilers coach Ken Hitchcock on injuries to their blue line: “We got smacked right in the face with injuries to the wrong spot & couldn’t absorb it. Now we’re trying to fight out of it.”

Islanders without three

Andrew Gross: New York Islanders were without defenseman Thomas Hickey and forwards Jordan Eberle and Cal Clutterbuck last night. Coach Barry Trotz said that Clutterbuck will travel with the team to Toronto and Buffalo, Eberle may travel and Hickey won’t.

Chabot leaves with an upper-body injury

Murray Pam: Ottawa Senators coach Guy Boucher on defenseman Thomas Chabot who left early with an upper-body injury: “He’ll (Chabot) be out. We have to wait and see what our doctors have to say. But for sure he’s out tomorrow. We’ll have to see how long he’s out. He got hit. He didn’t have the puck. It’s a side hit. It’s one of those hits. It’s a borderline one there…Upper body, not to the head.”

Blues could get Pietrangelo and Fabbri back

Lou Korac: St. Louis Blues defenseman Alex Pietrangelo and forward Robby Fabbri both could return tonight against the Penguins.
