Defenseman Sami Niku has been recalled.

The Jets signed center Logan Shaw for added depth. He’s been placed on waivers, and if he clears, will be assigned to the AHL.

Chris Ryan: New Jersey Devils forward Nico Hischier suffered an upper-body injury during yesterday’s game.

Capitals Carlson returns

Isabelle Khurshudyan: Washington Capitals defenseman John Carlson returned to the lineup.

Sharks Hertl returns

Paul Gackle: San Jose Sharks forward Tomas Hertl returned to the lineup.

Stars could be getting some injured players back

Mark Stepneski of Inside Edge: Dallas Stars forward Alexander Radulov will return to the lineup tonight. He’s missed 10 of their past 11 games with a lower-body injury.

There is a chance that forward Brett Richie could return to the lineup as well. Ritchie has been out for four games with an upper-body infection/inflammation. Head coach Jim Montgomery said it’s about a 95 percent chance that he re-enters the lineup.

The Stars are also thinking that defenseman Roman Polak could play.

” not around the rink today. Before practice we hadn’t heard from him. We imagine him to be a player, but I can’t confirm it,” Montgomery said.
