NHL Injuries: Predators, Devils, Sharks, Blues and Capitals
Jay Bouwmeester and Patrik Berglund traveling with the St. Louis Blues, but won't play.
On the Nashville Predators …

Adam Vingan of The Tennessean: Forward Scott Hartnell left Saturday’s game after just three shifts, and there wasn’t an update given after the game.

The Predators have listed forward Nick Bonino as “day-to-day” now with an upper-body injury. He’s been out of the lineup since October 14th.

On the New Jersey Devils …

Andrew Gross: Defenseman Mirco Mueller will be visiting a doctor as he had his left arm in a sling after yesterday’s game.

On the San Jose Sharks …

Kevin Kurz: Forward Joe Thornton only played 14 minutes on Saturday night. He had also missed two of their three practices before that for ‘maintenance’. Could be a bit concerning for the Sharks.

On the St. Louis Blues …

Lou Korac: Defenseman Jay Bouwmeester was practicing with teammates yesterday.

Tom Timmermann of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch: Both defenseman Jay Bouwmeester and forward Patrik Berglund will travel with the team on their road trip. Both are getting close to returning to the lineup.

Coach Mike Yeo said that neither would get into any of their three games this week. Yeo did say that Berglund would be re-assessed when they got back home. His original expected return date was in December.

It was the first time Bouwmeester was on the ice with teammates since he took a puck in the ankle at the start of training camp.

On the Washington Capitals …

Tom Gulitti: Coach Barry Trotz said that defenseman Matt Niskanen and his upper-body injury have been cleared for some contact. He’ll be traveling with the team on their road trip to Nashville and Colorado, but they are unsure if he’ll be able to get back into the lineup.

Tarik El-Bashir: Trotz on Niskanen traveling with the team: “If he plays or not, I don’t yet. But he’s close enough where he’s going to skate—we have a couple of practices.”
