Dan Rosen: Detroit Red Wings forward Jacob de la Rose left last night’s game early and was taken to a hospital with an accelerated heartbeat. It’s expected that he’ll return to Detroit today to see a specialist.

Chris Pinkert of St. Louis Blues: Blues forward Vladimir Tarasenko returned to the lineup last night after missing the past five games with an upper-body injury.

Flames to add University forward

Bob McKenzie: The Calgary Flames will be signing University of Alberta forward Luke Philp. The 23-year old played for Kootenay of the WHL before playing at the U of A.

It is a two-year contract that won’t kick in until next season.

He suffered an ankle sprain that will keep him out for four weeks, which is why he also didn’t sign a ATO with Stockton of the AHL.

Watson’s return not known yet

John Shannon: Nashville Predators forward Auston Watson has been re-instated and met with Predators managements yesterday. It’s not known yet when he’ll return to the lineup.
