Hurricanes sign defenseman Tim Gleason to 4 year contract extension

Carolina Hurricanes:  The Carolina Hurricanes have signed defenseman Tim Gleason to a 4 year contract extension worth $16 million.

He’ll receive $3.5 million next year, $4.5 million the following 2 years, and $3.5 million in the last year of the deal.

“We thank Tim for choosing to stay with the Hurricanes long term,” said Rutherford. “He is one of our core players, someone who brings character and leadership to our locker room, along with being a key piece on the ice. This is a very important signing for our team going forward.”
