Eastern Conference Injury Updates

Boston Bruins: Forward Brett Ritchie missed last night’s game with an upper-body injury.

John Vogl: Buffalo Sabres forward Vladimir Sobotka was wearing a walking boot/air cast from his foot to past his right knee after yesterday’s game.

Dennis Bernstein: Sabres coach Ralph Krueger after the game yesterday that Sobotka “definitely will not play tomorrow and that’s all I better say about it.”

Jameson Olive: Florida Panthers Noel Acciari is doubtful for this weekend’s games due to a lower-body injury. Coach Joel Quenneville said that Acciari could return after that.

Bruce Garrioch: The Ottawa Senators have put Artem Anisimov on the IR with a groin injury. He will be out long-term.

Philadelphia Flyers: Flyers prospect Samuel Morin tore his right ACL on Wednesday and is expected to miss the rest of the regular season.

Jerry Dipaola of the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review: Pittsburgh Penguins defenseman Kris Letang is “week-to-week” with a lower-body injury according to coach Mike Sullivan.

“We didn’t really give (reporters) a status (at the outset of the injury),” Sullivan said. “He was continuing to be evaluated.

“Obviously, we would like to have him back as quickly as we can. We’ll take each week as it comes, and I’ll update as we go.”
