Eastern Conference Injury updates

Boston Bruins: Coach Bruce Cassidy updating their injuries.

David Krejci skated before practice yesterday. They are off today, so they’ll see how he feels on Friday.

Joakim Nordstrom took part in a full practice.

Michael Smith: Carolina Hurricanes forward Erik Haula was able to practice yesterday. The Canes had 11 forwards, seven defensemen and two goalies on the ice before they left for Columbus.

Brian Hedger: Columbus Blue Jackets defenseman Markus Nutivaara missed practice yesterday and is listed as day-to-day.

Ted Kulfan: Detroit Red Wings coach Jeff Blashill said that they don’t know how long Luke Glendening will be out for, but he’s “out for a little bit.” He has a cast on his left hand.

John Lu: Montreal Canadiens coach Claude Julien said that Tomas Tatar suffered a lower-body injury in practice. He took a shot off his foot. There is no update on his status for tonight’s game.

Stu Cowen: Julien after practice on Tatar: “He got hurt just near the end of practice. He took a puck on the foot. I can’t tell you more than that. He’s being examined right now and we’ll hopefully have good news sooner than later. But right now I have nothing more than that.”

Stu Cowan: Canadiens forward Joel Armia hopes he’ll be able to get in the lineup tonight. He’s missed the past two games with a lower-body injury.

Laura Albanese: New York Islanders forward Tom Kuhnhackl said he’s feeling good but not sure if he’ll be in the lineup.

Laura Albanese: Islanders forward Jordan Eberle is doubtful for tonight.

NHL.com: Ottawa Senators forward Colin White is expected to miss three to five weeks with a groin/hip flexor injury. GM Pierre Dorion said that White had been trying to play through it.

“First I heard of was Arizona (Oct. 19),” coach D.J. Smith said. “He tweaked it going over the boards and then took a couple hard strides. As you know, in a game, when you’re warm, it doesn’t hurt as much. Then he played and then certainly it got worse.”

The Senators will also be without Artem Anisimov for one to two weeks with a lower-body injury.
