Davidson to meet with Blue Jackets … Edler and Garrison’s injuries revealed … Engelland to Norway
  • Aaron Portzline of the Columbus Dispatch: John Davidson is heading to Columbus this weekend to meet with majority owner John McConnell and president Mike Priest. Davidson met with both on May 29th while he was the president of the Blues. He worked out a buyout with the Blues last week, and in an interview, expressed interest in working with the Blue Jackets. What Davidson’s role would be is not known. On could assume that he could be the president of hockey operations, with Priest running the business side of things.
  • Brad Ziemer of the Vancouver Sun: The Canucks admitted yesterday that Alex Edler has a bulging disc and Jason Garrison has a groin injury. Both will be getting paid until they are deemed healthy. Canucks assistant GM Laurence Gilman said both players were injured while training for the season and before the players were locked out. Ziemer via twitter: Have to wonder how the Canucks felt after Edler was kicking field goals after a Lions game.
