  • Chris Johnson via twitter: Michael Nylander is listed in the Flyers lineup for tonight’s exhibition game against the Maple Leafs. His last regular season NHL game was in 2009.
  • Katie Strang via twitter: Paul Mara’s agent has said that the NY Rangers and NY Islanders have expressed some interest.  He’s in talks with other teams, and will not attend any camp on a tryout.
  • Slava Malamud via twitter: Jaromir Jagr: “In Detroit & Pittsburgh everything was settled. There are guys who play w/ each other a long time, nobody would change things for me” and “Liked everything in Russia except for travel… In the NHL, teams make enough at gate to cover expensive charters. KHL teams can’t”
  • Dan Rosen of NHL.com: Re-alignment for next will be discussed at today’s Board of Governor’s meeting. They could discuss conference structure, creating 4 divisions of 7 or 8 teams.
  • Craig Custance of ESPN: Stars GM Joe Nieuwendyk is optimistic the team will have a new owner by Christmas. Devils co-owner Jeff Vanderbeek plans to buyout owners Ray Chambers and Mike Gilfillan, but some don’t think he can afford it alone. The Blues have “a number of very strong candidates” according to president John Davidson. Coyotes defenseman Keith Yandle wasn’t concerned about the ownership questions when negotiating his contract: “I didn’t even think about that when I was doing my negotiation,” Yandle said. “You think about getting a deal done and staying in Phoenix.”
