  • L.A. Lariviere via twitter: Sources tell TVA Sports that Jonathan Bernier hasn’t spoken with Kings GM Dean Lombardi since he said he wanted a trade. Bernier has the mindset that he’ll be a member of the of the Kings at training camp. The Blackhawks, Blue Jackets, Maple Leafs and a few Eastern teams are interested.
  • Jim Diamond of the Examiner: Predators GM David Poile said he wants the give the his young players the opportunity to earn a roster spot.

    “Going into training camp, we are not done adding pieces if we can add another piece, especially in a top four defense we are going to try and do that,” Trotz said later Wednesday on a conference call discussing the matching of Weber’s offer sheet. “There is limited value out there in terms of free agency, but there are guys we are looking at a possibility of a trade. There could be a piece there.”
