Jason Spezza
On the Anaheim Ducks …

Hannah Spraker: Defenseman Sami Vatanen suffered a lower-body injury last night.

Eric Stephens: Coach Randy Carlyle didn’t offer much on Vatanen’s status for today’s game against the Lightning.

On the Dallas Stars …

Sean Shapiro of Wrong Side of the Redline: Lindy Ruff on Jason Spezza‘s upper-body injury

On the Los Angeles Kings …

Jesse Dougherty: Forward Tyler Toffoli skated with Jeff Carter and Tanner Pearson at practice yesterday. Could mean he’s close to returning.

On the Calgary Flames …

Derek Willis: Garnet Hathaway was wearing a regular jersey at practice yesterday. He could play at some point on their three-game road trip.

On the Winnipeg Jets …

Ken Wiebe: Forward Drew Stafford said there is a “pretty good chance” he returns to the lineup today against the Avs.
